Dr. Vincenzo Sellaro Lodge History
The fifth new lodge of the Bologna
Administration was installed on Sunday, September 29, 1974 at the
Colonie Hill in Hauppauge.
Named after one of the founders of the
Order, it is called the Dr. Vincenzo Sellaro Lodge No. 2319 of
Smithtown.
Grand Orator, John D. Dorsi, presided over the
installation of over 200 members. Grand Recording Secretary, Joseph
Montemarano,
assisted as Herald. Suffolk County Executive John Klein
proclaimed the day "Dr. Vincenzo Sellaro Day."
The Lodge was sponsored
by the Andrea Doria Lodge No. 2201 of Centereach. Hugo Giove was
Venerable.
Assisting in the formation of the Lodge was Chairman
Daniel Russo and Grand Trustee Anthony Graziano, also of the Andrea
Doria Lodge.
The three founders of the Lodge were: Venerable Vincent Cassara, Assistant Venerable Angelo Tropea and Guard Frank Monteleone.
